Education in Spain   [Report Abuse]

Posted by: luxproperty
Spain is known for its warm climate as well as its land market, which is extremely beneficial to buyers. Land prices in Spain have seen a huge drop in recent years, and prices are steadily getting better as more and more people are deciding to invest in Spanish land. If you are one of these people, you should think about the other factors involved in living in Spain, foremost of these is the Spanish education system.
If you have a family or plan to have a family, then education is an important factor. The Spanish education system has received criticisms in the past, and you need to know what you’re getting into. For one thing, unless your family either speaks Spanish or is willing to learn, then getting a proper education in Spain is going to be much, much harder.
As well as the language factor, which we hope most people will have considered before moving to Spain, the Spanish education system is actually relatively good. Compared to many other countries, it is of a particularly high quality. Spain provides free compulsory education for children, from 6 to 16.
Spain also has good options for those planning to go to University, with quite a few reputable establishments. The University of Barcelona is one of the principal centres of education, as is the Technical University of Madrid and the University of Seville. There are many great universities in the country, and people actually travel from all over the world to get a degree in some of these places.
Overall, Spain can be an ideal place for children and young people to receive their education if they speak the language and enjoy the country. Spain is wonderful for many reasons, and their education system is just another one of these.
